Springfield House Policies

Considering a bed and breakfast for your Pennsylvania lodging is a great upscale alternative to a traditional hotel.
Springfield House Inn is located in historic Boalsburg, the birthplace of Memorial Day. Since we are within
minutes of Penn State University, prospective students and their parents can take advantage of the special discount.

• Reservation Deposits - A deposit equal to one nights stay is payable by credit card at time of reservation.
  

• Special Events - A two night minimum stay and deposit of the full amount is required for special event weekends such as Penn State Football, Arts Festivals, Graduation, etc.
  

• Cancellations – Cancellations received at least 10 days prior to scheduled arrival or 61 days for special event weekends* will receive a refund of deposit, less a $15 processing charge. Cancellations received after these periods will result in forfeiture of deposits (full amount for special event weekends) unless the reserved room is rebooked.

• Whole House or Group Reservations - Group reservations (or whole house reservations) can be made by an individual, but must be confirmed in the names of those occupying the room, with appropriate credit card information within 10 days of the reservation. Special Event Cancellation policies apply to whole house or group reservations. The entire amount of the reservation will be charged 31 days prior to expected arrival to the card on file.
  

• Check in/out – Check in is from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Please make arrangements in advance for arrival after 7:00 PM. Check out is by 11:00 AM

• Occupancy - Guest rooms are double occupancy. Additional persons of any age in rooms are $25 per night. Rollaway beds are available with prior notice. Maximum occupancy is 3 persons of any age per room.
  

• Smoking - The Springfield House is a tobacco free facility. Smoking or open flames are not permitted anywhere on the premises. In room smoking will result in a room cleaning charge of $300 or more.

• Breakfast Guests may join you for breakfast at a nominal additional charge with prior notice.
  

• Children - We welcome children, however to accommodate all of our guests comfort, we can only accept children over age 8. Please remember that we can only accommodate 3 persons OF ANY AGE per room.

• Pets - We regret that we cannot accommodate your pet, however, we would be happy to locate a local boarding facility for your pet during your stay.
  

• Rates - Do not include sales and room taxes and are subject to change without notice, although rates for confirmed reservations are guaranteed 60 days in advance.
